Passing through the captivating landscapes of the Sahara Desert, majestic gorges and ancient kasbahs along the way. This carefully crafted itinerary promises an immersive experience, offering a perfect blend of adventure, culture and natural beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane, Azrou, and Erfoud

Your journey begins as you depart from Fes and head south towards the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll pass through the charming town of Ifrane, know with its alpine-style architecture and lush greenery. Continue through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Making a stop in Azrou to see the famous cedar forests and perhaps encounter the resident Barbary macaques. As you journey further south, you’ll pass through Erfoud, known for its fossil discoveries, before arriving in Merzouga. In the late afternoon, take a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll witness the breathtaking sunset over the desert. Spend the night at a traditional desert camp under the starlit sky, immersing yourself in the serenity of the Sahara.

Day 2: Merzouga to Dades Gorges via Rissani, Todra Gorges, and Tinghir

Wake up to the tranquil beauty of the desert and enjoy breakfast before continuing your journey. Depart from Merzouga and head towards Rissani, a bustling market town known for its traditional souks and lively atmosphere. From there, travel to Tinghir and visit the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of the river. Continue through the picturesque Dades Valley, stopping to admire the stunning scenery and perhaps take a leisurely walk along the riverbank. Arrive at the Dades Gorges in the late afternoon and spend the night surrounded by the rugged beauty of the canyon.

Day 3: Dades Gorges to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, depart from the Dades Gorges and journey through the scenic landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. Stop in Kelaat Mgouna, known as the “Valley of Roses,” and visit a local cooperative to learn about rose water production. Continue to Skoura and explore the lush palm groves and historic kasbahs of the region. From there, travel to Ouarzazate and visit the Atlas Film Studios, where many famous movies and TV shows have been filmed. Continue to the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village that has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood films. After exploring the kasbah, continue your journey to Marrakech, where your tour comes to an end, leaving you with cherished memories of your 3-day adventure through Morocco.
